Obituary
ROLAND passed away at Gosford Hospital on Friday 28th July 2006 at the age of 78 years. He was late of Gorokan, formerly of Ingleburn.
ROLAND, christened Roland Otto Bruno Herman Joseph, was born on 21st November 1927 in Erfurt Germany to Herman and Anna (nee Kallenbach) Balven. At the age of 21 he married his sweet heart Margareta in Bremerhaven Germany. In 1954 they made the long trip to Australia and to their new home. They had four children Lothar, Sylvia, Karyn and Evelyn.
A much loved husband to Margaret and a dear father to his children, he will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great grand children and all his family and friends here in Australia and Germany.
